Tehran 25th August : The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman has stated that the country has received through the European Union, the US government’s response to Tehran’s opinions regarding the solution of the issues that remain in the talks concerning the renewal of the nuclear deal of 2015.The remarks were made in an announcement posted on the website of the ministry, Nasser Kanaani added the US response was provided to Iran by the EU foreign policy chief and coordinator of the Vienna talks Josep Borrell, Xinhua news agency reported.
He said that Iran began to evaluate the American viewpoints with care and will notify the coordinator of its views after the conclusion of its assessments.
Iran has signed the nuclear agreement officially referred to as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, with world powers in July 2015.
The two sides agreed to halt the country’s nuclear programme in exchange for the elimination of sanctions against the country.However the the former US president Donald Trump pulled Washington out of the agreement.
The talks regarding the renewal of the 2015 nuclear agreement started in April 2021 in Vienna but were halted in March of this year because of the political differences between Tehran and Washington.
The most recent session of the nuclear talks conducted in Vienna, the capital city of Austria.
Vienna in early August following an absence of five months.On August 8th the European Union put forward a “final text” of the draft decision regarding the renewal of the 2015 nuclear agreement.
Iran recently announced that its response in writing to EU’s draft of an agreement could have been prepared, noting that If the US response is realistic and has flexible, the nuclear deal will be reached.
