Moody’s removes NHAI’s ratings

Chennai 24 August : Credit rating agency Moody’s Investors Service on Wednesday announced it was removing the National Highways Authority of India’s (NHAI) Baa3 issuer rating and (P)Baa3 senior medium-term note program rating that is unsecured.
Prior to the withdrawal, the outlook for the issuer’s outlook was steady.

According to Moody’s it has decided to pull the ratings due to its own reasons related to business.

The NHAI was established with an Act of Parliament known as the National Highways Authority of India Act 1988.

Being 100 % owned by the Centre The NHAI is managed by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and is accountable for the creation maintenance and administration of the nation’s highways that it has entrusted to it.
