Bandi Sanjay along with his supporters stood on the sidelines of the streets of his home in Karimnagar town.

He promised to keep going with his Praja Sangrama Yatra despite the police’s directive to stop the protest immediately.

In the state BJP headquarters in Hyderabad the state’s top MP and state leader K.Laxman led the protest.General secretary of the party Muralidhar Rao, national executive members Vijayashanti, Indrasena Reddy and other leaders were present in the protest.

Laxman who is also the president of the BJP’s OBC Morcha, alleged that Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao was afraid of the massive public reaction received by Praja Sangrama Yatra and thus using unlawful arrest of Bandi Sanjay.

Laxman claimed that, since allegations have been made against the daughter of Chief Minister KCR Kavitha regarding her role in Delhi fraud, KCR was trying to distract attention from the issue.

Muralidhar Rao has said that the corruption scandals of KCR and his family members will be exposed one after another.

He claimed that the TRS government was trying to silence the voice of the opposition.

Sanjay was detained in Jangaon district on Tuesday as he was planning to take part in a demonstration against the detention of BJP workers who had staged a protest outside Kavitha’s house in Hyderabad the day before.

He was later moved to Karimnagar and was placed in house detention. The police sent a letter to BJP leaders, asking them to immediately cease Praja Sangrama Yatra and that there was no authority to allow the same.

Police have stated in the notification that provocative remarks are being made because of the padyatra that has led to apprehension of the breach of the peace in Jangaon district.

The BJP leaders have denied the allegations and requested the intervention of Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan to ensure the yatra could continue.
