Los Angeles, Aug 23 : Actress Aubrey Plaza, who received praise for her performance in the American crime drama film ‘Emily the Crime is now in the next major feature film.The actress is scheduled to join the of the cast of Francis Ford Coppola’s cult project ‘Megalopolis’.Sources told “Deadline”.
The film already features Adam Driver, Forest Whitaker, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jon Voight and Laurence Fishburne.
Coppola has described the current film as “The destiny of Rome remains a constant reminder of a modern world that is in a state of confusion and unable to solve its own social issues in this epic tale of political ambition and genius, as well as conflicted love.”
The budget will be less than $100 million and production will begin in the autumn.Rights to distribution are currently being negotiated by an attorney Barry Hirsch.
For Plaza Emily the Criminal, ‘Emily the Crime” debuted in the spring of this year at the Sundance Film Festival.
Additionally, she is also set to be a part-time actress in the upcoming season of HBO’s cult anthology series ‘TheWhite Lotus’.
