Mumbai 22nd August : Bollywood actor Sikandar Kher, best known for his role as Daulat in the show streaming on ‘Aarya’ recently received a memento in the shape of an autographed photo of Rakesh Sharma, the spaceman himself.
Rakesh Sharma was the first Indian to be in space on April 3rd 1984.

He took seven days 21 hours, and 40 minutes on the Salyut 7 space station.After Sharma’s space journey, India became the 14th nation in the world to send a human into space.

At present, Rakesh lives in Patiala with his family.

The actor opened up about how he obtained the prized possession, Sikandar said: “His son Kapil Sharma is a film director and is an extremely close acquaintance of mine.He is also one of the directors of “Aarya”.I am a massive space fan.For the longest time, I did not know that he was Rakesh Sharma’s son.”

He added: “When I got to know that I was over the overwhelmed and told him that I really needed an autograph from him.” Thanks to Kapil, he said: “Your dad is a genuine rock(et) superstar.”
