New Delhi, Aug 22 : India on Monday saw a drop in new Covid instances with 9,531 infections reported in the last 24 hours compared to the earlier 11,539 number according to the Union Health Ministry.In the same time frame 36 deaths brought the total death toll in the nation at 5,27,368.
In the meantime, the number of active cases has decreased to 97,648, which is 0.22 percent of all positive cases.
The recovery of 11,726 patients increased the total to 4,37,23,944.Therefore, the rate of recovery is 98.59 percent.
In the meantime, the daily Positivity rate has slightly increased to 4.15 percent, whereas the weekly Positivity Rate is 3.59 per cent.
Additionally, in the same time period in the same time frame, there were a total of 2,29,546 testing were conducted, bringing the total to more than 88.27 crore.
As of Monday morning the Covid-19 vaccination rate in India has surpassed 209.98 crore, which was achieved through 2,79,491,087 sessions.
More than 3.99 million adolescents have been vaccinated with the first dose of Covid-19 jab since beginning of vaccination drives for this age group.
