San Francisco, Aug 22 : Electric automobile manufacturer Tesla CEO Elon Musk has announced that the company will increase the cost of its Full-Self-Driving (FSD) software from $15,000 to $15,000 following its broad release.In a post on microblogging site Twitter, Musk wrote that the new price will take force in North America starting September 5.
“FSD Beta 10.69 began being distributed to Tesla owners last night.This build is a major leap ahead! 10.69.1 will probably be released at the will be released at the end of this week with the possibility of a larger release.1069.2 in a few weeks will be enough to distribute an update to all FSD Beta participants,” Musk wrote on Twitter.
“After the widespread announcement of FSD Beta 10.69.2 The cost of FSD will increase to $15k in North America on September 5th.The current pricing will still be valid for orders that were placed before September 5th , but not delivered until later,” he added.
The tech billionaire said users can upgrade their vehicle to FSD in 2 minutes using the Tesla app.
Recently, an article stated that the streaming platform owned by Google YouTube had taken down an image of an adult playing with FSD capabilities with his children in a crosswalk or on the roadway.
The video featured Tesla the owner and investor Tad Park, testing FSD features with his children.
In the clip, Park drives a Tesla Model 3 towards one of his children who is standing in the road.He then attempts to do it again with the other child who is walking across the street.
The car stopped before it reached the children two times.
