Manila 22nd, August : The Philippines reported 3,643 new cases of Covid-19, which brings the total number of confirmed cases in the Southeast Asian country to 3,855,804.The Department of Health on Sunday declared that the count of active cases fell to 35,271, while 49 patients died from complications of Covid-19 increasing the country’s death toll up to 61,357.
Metro Manila, the capital region of more than 13 million residents has recorded 1167 new cases.Xinhua news agency reported.
The Philippines has recorded its highest number of Covid-19 in a single day of 39,004 new cases , on January 15.The nation, with a population of around 110 million people, has vaccined over 72.3 million of its population.
