New Delhi, Aug 21 : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has launched an investigation in the preliminary phase into accusations of corruption in the procurement of 1,000 low-floor buses from the Delhi government.The Kejriwal government has claimed they received a clear letter in the case.
On the other on the other hand the BJP claimed that the complaint filed in 2021 is currently being investigated.
According to official reports according to official information, close to 100 low-floor buses were purchased by the Delhi government in which there was alleged corruption.
On the 16th of August, 2021 the CBI received an allegation of allegations of corruption in the purchasing of buses.The Home Ministry had requested the CBI to investigate the issue.
The former Delhi LG, Anil Baijal had enacted the constitution of three-member committee to investigate the matter.
Former Additional Secretary of the Delhi government Govind Mohan has said there is the need of preliminary investigation by the central investigation agency.
In January 2022 in January 2022, the CBI started the preliminary inquiry that is currently in progress.
