Manila 20 August : Philippine President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos is scheduled to travel to Indonesia as well as Singapore in September in his first overseas trip since assuming office 30 June press Secretary Rose Beatrix Cruz-Angeles announced.In a live media conference, Angeles on Friday added that the President will be in Indonesia from September 4 to 6, and in Singapore from the 6th to 7th of September.Xinhua news agency reported.
Similar to as the Philippines, Indonesia and Singapore are also members of Singapore and Indonesia are also members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) which comprises Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
In addition, according to comments previously made by Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel Romualdez, Marcos may travel to the UN headquarters in New York for attending the UN General Assembly in September.
