Gandhinagar 17 August : The senior Gujarat Congress leaders Naresh Raval and Raju Parmar joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday. Both leaders were admitted into the saffron party in the presence of the state BJP President C.R.Patil.
When he joined to the BJP, Raval alleged that the “Congress’s national leadership has a dislike for Gujarat and Gujaratis They don’t respect the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, or two Gujarati industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani.”
Both leaders stated, “The Congress’ national leadership is not speaking to all party leaders, but is limited in communicating with state party leaders.the senior leaders of the party are left out and their opinions are not considered. We have decided to leave the party.”
The Congress has reached its lowest point and there’s no chance of it returning to its former glory, which is the reason to leave the Congress, Raval said.
The party (Congress) was different two or three decades ago.Now it’s completely different and doesn’t respect dedicated party workers or their leaders, he added.
