New York, Aug 13 : Nearly 30 percent of children admitted to hospital for MIS-C or Covid-19 one of the rare, but severe covid-related condition that was diagnosed longer than two of months after the diagnosis according to a study released today.
The study found that the most frequently reported symptoms for children admitted to hospitals with Covid-19 included fatigue as well as shortness of breath and headache, as well as cough.

muscles and body aches and fever, as reported by CNN.

“Vaccine use in children isn’t that high, but vaccines could help prevent this,” study co-author Adrienne Randolph of the Harvard Medical School was quoted as saying.

The condition MIS-C is rare that is often seen in children but not always following the Covid-19 infection.Doctors are still trying to determine what causes it.

The condition is believed to occur several weeks after an infection, and can cause certain body parts to become affected.It can affect the major organs, such as kidneys, brain, lungs, and the heart.

For children with MIS-C “activity impairment” -difficulty in performing normal activities was the most frequent sign in the research.

Other serious symptoms include not being in a position to exercise or walk as much as they normally do as well as sleeping more than normal and having difficulty being able to concentrate at school.

The study, which was that was published in the journal Pediatrics Researchers surveyed 358 children being cared by 25 pediatric hospitals from May 2020 and May 2021, prior to the influx in cases caused by Delta or Omicron variants.

In the article, it’s not clear if the children could have had different outcomes with these variants.
