Mumbai 12 August : As the forthcoming season “House of the Dragon” is nearing its date for release, producers Ryan J.Condal and Miguel Sapochnik have revealed that it’s the “complex Shakespearean family drama.”The series is an engaging story that takes the viewer deep into the enthralling realm of Westeros and explores the Targaryen family the all-powerful dragon riders who appear to be the impervious leaders of the seven kingdoms.
Although the show is an ephemeral prequel to “Game of Thrones”, “House of the Dragon” is a brand novel narrative with different characters, played by a dazzling cast.
Drawing out the line of distinction in the two shows Ryan stated in an announcement that “Game of Thrones” was about a variety of families that went to battle over justice and morality.
There was betrayal and murder There was betrayal and murder, and all of those things are happening in this story, but it’s more about the dissolution of one family.
This family happens to be one of the strongest in the story of Westeros.
The show will feature bitter rivalries, jealousy desire for power and betrayal that could cause the Targaryens apart and threaten to demolish an dynasty which has ruled unopposed for centuries.
Sapochnik co-showrunner of Condal who also directs a number of episodes of the show stated: “Our story begins with the Targaryens in an unsecure place because they’re the dragons.They have the arsenal of mass destruction.
And when they do it’s difficult to see who could stand into their shoes.They are aware of this, but they are aware that their arrogance could lead to their demise.”
Based on George R.R.Martin’s novel “Fire and Blood” The series of 10 episodes is set two centuries prior to the events that captivated worldwide viewers in “Game of Thrones”.The characters in the show include Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Sonoya Mizuno, Fabien Frankel, and Rhys Ifans breathed life to many characters from Martin’s novel.
The show will be available for streaming through Disney+ Hotstar from August 22 with new episodes coming out every Monday.
Clare Kilner, Geeta Vasant Patel and Greg Yaitanes, George R.R.Martin, Ryan Condal, and Miguel Sapochnik are also executive producers together with Sara Hess, Jocelyn Diaz, Vince Gerardis and Ron Schmidt.Composer Ramin Djawadi of “Game of Thrones” fame, composed the score for the series.
