Chennai 11 August : The actor Karthi has announced that he will begin work on the sequel of his hit film “Kaithi” with one of Tamil cinema’s most sought-after directors, Lokesh Kanakaraj, early next year.Karthi who is busy advertising his forthcoming release “Viruman,” revealed the information in response to a question asked by an interviewer during a session.
“We are planning to release ‘Kaithi 2’ for next year.When Lokesh is done with Vijay sir’s film we’ll begin,” the actor said.
It is interesting to note that, despite it being widely believed Lokesh will be the director of Vijay’s upcoming film, no formal announcement was made till the present time regarding the project.
Dream Warrior Pictures, the company that produced the wildly popular ‘Kaithi’film, shortly after the success of the film mentioned the possibility of making another film.
“Kaithi,” Lokesh’s second film following his remarkable debut with the hugely successful Maanagaram and went on to become as a blockbuster and earn an astounding 100 crore in the box office.
