New Delhi, Aug 11 : The BJP on Thursday accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of supporting criminals such as Anubrata Mandal.West Bengal BJP co-in charge Amit Malviya has said that she provides state protection to those operating criminal syndicates and extortion networks under her supervision.
“Mamata Banerjee presides over criminals like Anubroto Mondal.As the Chief Home Minister and Minister of the Interior of West Bengal, she offers protection to state officials who run crime and extortion syndicates under her supervision.Partha Chaterjee, or Anubroto Mondal The buck ends at Mamata Banerjee.” Malviya said quoting his old tweet.

Following the news that Anubrata Mandal was arrested by the CBI this morning, West Bengal BJP president Dr Sukanta Majumdar tweeted: “CM @MamataOfficial is turning a blind eye to the smuggling of cattle.Slowly, the perpetrators in these crimes are being rounded up.Anubrato Mondal is the same person who has threatened that previous incidents of murders such as those committed in 2011 and 19 will be repeated.”
The CBI agents walked into Mandal’s Bolpur residence at around 9.50 a.m.They were escorted by a large contingent of central Armed Forces personnel.After just a little more than an hour of investigation, they were able to arrest Mandal in connection with the cattle smuggling ring.The arrest came after the Trinamool Congress strongman ducked the central agency’s summons 10 consecutive times.
