Damascus 11 Aug : The Syrian forces repelled rebel group’s in an attack in the northern part of the Syrian province of Idlib according to the SANA, the state news agency SANA said.The army forces stopped an attempt of an “terrorist group of fighters belonging to foreign nationals” to escape out of the Nayrab area into the town of Jobas in the eastern countryside of Idlib in the Idlib region, according to the report released on Wednesday.
The majority of rebels were killed or injured, the report added.
Idlib is the last major stronghold of the rebels in Syria although certain rural areas are now under the control of the government, Xinhua news agency reported.
