Bhubaneswar on Aug.9 : The people are in not a willing to accept the insanity of nepotism the Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Monday, adding that family-based political parties will have to change or be prepared to face defeats in elections, In launching the Odisha Chapter of “Modi@20” book, Shah said dynasty, corruption and appeasement have dominated the political landscape of this country and also eroded all democratic principles after the 1960s.
“However the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done the most important job in eliminating nepotism in the democracy.All family-based political parties used to be with nepotism as their primary goal.
However, PM Modi changed the politics of nepotism with the politics of performance,” said Shah.
In the case of Uttar Pradesh, the BJP leader stated: “Our party won four elections (two Lok Sabha and two Assembly elections) consecutively in states similar to Uttar Pradesh, where dynastic and caste-based politics were deeply rooted.”
All family gatherings will need to change or be prepared to be defeated again and yet again, he said.
Shah further explained that appeasement refers to the conversion of one particular section into a vote bank, by offering specific benefits, and then sabotaging the process of development by ignoring the basic right of equal opportunity for everyone in the democratic process.
PM Modi also ended the political game of appeasement.Presently, in the schemes made for the millions of low-income people of the country, no one is able to claim that discrimination occurred, he said, adding that everyone earned a comparable gain, but no one received a particular benefit.
“Similarly the PM Modi has slowed down corruption in the country.Over the last 8 years, our adversaries have been unable to make a single claim of corruption against the Modi government.
“In 2014, the citizens of the country made an historic decision to give BJP the two-thirds majority.This created the first majority government in the last 30 years.
After this change was made and corruption was eradicated and a decisive leader emerged and policy paralysis ceased,” the Union minister declared.
“PM Modi always succeeds because the speed of his thinking is upwards, just like the flame of the lamp.
his victory is certain in 2024,” he added.
The BJP will also form an administration in Odisha also, he claimed.
