Thiruvananthapuram 8 Aug : As she keeps her date with the media to announce that she will share more information on Monday, the principal suspect in the gold smuggling trial, Swapna Suresh slammed Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on his role that helped an Egyptian UAE national evade the law.The UAE national was detained by CISF Cochin airport officials with the Thuraya satellite phone.
In a statement to reporters, Swapna Suresh said it was on July 4, 2017 security officers at the airport apprehended an Egyptian born UAE national with the Thuraya phone.
“On the day I received a phone call from UAE Consulate officials (in the capital city of the state) inquiring me to speak to Vijayan regarding this matter.So I contacted his secretary M.Sivasankar and informed about the matter and he told me that he will talk to Vijayan.In about 10 minutes, I received a phone email from Sivasankar asking me to send an official Gopalakrishnan Warrier.” stated Swapna.
The UAE national, as per Swapna the official, been able to arrive in Kerala on the 30th June, at the Kozhikode airport.
“Without even a single inquiry into the activities of this UAE national was doing for the four days in Kerala, he was allowed to leave after receiving an order from Warrier.
The police officers in Kochi held the UAE national in the police station from the 4th July to the 6th July, and on the 7th of July he left,” said Swapna.
Swapna in July stated she believes she has documents to nab Vijayan on the way he has been abusing his power and she promised to expose to the media the anti-national actions that he has been carrying out.
“It is normal for UAE officials to contact in contact with officials in Kerala in regards to their citizens However, how can Vijayan be a part of this and want to inquire if he is a representative of the UAE.All this is being carried out by Vijayan to ensure his daughter Veena Vijayan can begin an enterprise in the UAE,” added Swapna.
Suresh has also taken a swipe at the media by saying “the next time you get to meet Vijayan Ask him why he is doing this.”
“First he said he doesn’t know me and then he claimed he had seen me and then he said that I came with the UAE Consulate officials to his home.We must ask for him to speak up and talk about the issues I have spoken about.I’ll in the coming days make an appearance with more information about the chief minister.” declared Swapna.
Following her first disclosure in June of this year that Vijayan and his wife as well as daughter were “engaged in smuggling gold and currency”, Vijayan has rarely been interviewed by the media.
