Hyderabad 7 August : Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday felicitated boxer Nikhat Zareen for clinching a gold medal in the Barmingham Commonwealth Games.He spoke to Zareen via phone and thanked her for her efforts.”By getting the gold medal, Nikhat is not just making the whole of India happy, but has also elevated its honor up a notch,” he said.
KCR or KCR who is the name of the Chief Minister KCR, praised the boxer for sustaining his winning streak.He stated that Zareen’s win has brought glory to Telangana all over the world.
The CM reiterated that the state government would continue to encourage sports people.
The Member of Legislative Council K.Kavitha also felicitated Nikhat Zareen for winning the gold.
She stated that it was an issue of immense pride that Nikhat Zareen has once again brought accolades to the nation and the state.
Zareen was awarded the Commonwealth gold medal nearly three months after securing the gold medal in the world championship.
The 26-year-old is from Nizamabad town of Telangana.
