Mumbai on August 6, : Stand-up comic Saloni Daini started off as an artist in her youth and is well-known for her role as Gangubai in “Comedy Circus’.Today, she has finished college and has recently appeared in the film “Right Age to Marry’.
Saloni discusses her work experience and discusses her plans for the future. “I began my professional career as a seven-year-old comedian.
At the time, I didn’t realize that what was to become my future. At first, I was just doing it to have fun. Then I realized that this is something I want to do, and this is what I want to be and I would like to be working in the field.”
“So it’s been an amazing adventure for me.I’m very proud of the fact to have been in this field for so long. The great thing is that I took time off in between and went to college, and graduated. Now , I’m looking forward to making a comeback as an actor and am working on some really exciting projects.I’m enjoying every minute of this adventure,” she says. She also was featured in a video-based series called “Main 13 Hoon” in the month of June in 2015.
Saloni hasn’t really thought about what roles she would like to play in particular.
Instead, she is ready to explore and experiment.
“I simply want to be able to tackle whatever is in my path. The work itself should be excellent and should challenge me.I’d like to grow as an actor, and learn the craft as many times as I can.I also would like to be able to go with the flow, and observe what happens and then decide how I want to move ahead.” she adds.
Not only fiction, Saloni also enjoys non-fiction shows.
“If we’re discussing ‘BiggBoss”, ‘Roadies Splitsvilla’, and others, then I would like to say that they are among my guilty pleasures.
Although I’m sure these shows are disgusting in the eyes of my pals, there are times after I’ve finished my day, I like to switch on ‘BiggBoss and enjoy the drama.
“But should I get a chance to be an actor of “Bigg Boss,” I’m sure I wouldn’t be able to participate.
So I’ll just take a look at it now. However, I would love to appear on stage and talk about certain aspects of my works with Salman Khan Sir,” she says.
Comedy is Saloni’s most-loved genre.
“We all know that comedy is the most difficult thing to master that you can do.You need to practice often since your timing in comics has to be spot-on.One thing I have in common with me is that when I’m doing a comic-related scene, I like to repeat the scene and again.I don’t care about what number of times I continue because I just love being in the moment.I’m fully present.”
“And I’m just having fun in that moment and not worrying about anything else.I’m taking whatever thoughts come to mind.In terms of comedy films it’s been a long time since I’ve seen these films in the theaters.I love films such as “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 1” and Hera Pheri’.I’m just dying to get to the theater and enjoy a comedy and really enjoy myself. And I’m hoping I’m in the film, she adds.
If she was not an actor, nevertheless Saloni will definitely be doing something in this field because she is of the opinion that she is made to work in the entertainment sector.
“Either I’d like to be a cinematographer or a director.I’ve not considered it for a long time, but I’m pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mass Media right now.I’m planning to travel and learn about filmmaking. However, I am certain that I wouldn’t have done more to be an integral participant of the industry.
“So I would be working behind the scenes even if I wasn’t acting because I enjoy being an integral component of the stage and business,” she wraps up.
