Mumbai on Aug 6, : The veteran singer Alka Yagnik remembered the late legendary singer Kishore Kumar and shared her experiences working with Kishore Kumar. She recorded some of songs, including ‘Tumse Bhadkar Duniya Mein’, from 1982 film ‘Kaamchor’, and “Teri Meri Prem Kahani” from the 1985 film ‘Pighalta Aasman’ with him.
After listening to the mellow rendition of some of the most famous songs of the late singer by Superstar Singer 2 contestants Pratyush Anand and Rohan Das, she praised them and stated that the event was a success if Kishore Kumar had been alive and had seen the performance, he would have been with them on stage. She was able to recall working with Kishore Kumar, stating: “I feel extremely lucky that I had the chance to collaborate with Kishore da.I’ve performed in a variety of stage shows, and also recorded some of songs such as ‘Tumse bhkar duniya mein’ and ‘Teri prem kahani meri’ and a few of the most popular songs of Laxmikant Pyarelal.”
“But I must admit that I had lots of enjoyable singing with him because he would make us laugh loudly.I laughed so hard that it impacted my throat, and I would even ask the comedian to stop laughing at us.”
“Kishore Kumar was a dynamo of energy with plenty of romance and masti in his voice.I believe he was a multi-faceted personality because there was no thing he could not accomplish. From acting, singing to comedy and direction, he aced each and every part he was given.
He was truly God-ordained because the impression his songs left on generations is very few people can achieve,” Alka added.
While thanking Rohan and Pratyush, Alka said: “Rohan and Pratyush did a fantastic job singing. They performed and sang perfectly. If Kishore da was present, he would have been extremely happy or perhaps he might have joined you on stage and danced with you all.I am very pleased with your performance. It was a very entertaining performance.”
“Non-stop Kishore Kumar special in Superstar Singer 2 will air in August 7 on Sony Entertainment Television.
