Patna 7 August : In the wake of the hooch-related tragedy in Saran, Bihar Building Construction Minister Ashok Chaudhary said that people are deliberately breaking the rules despite the liquor ban law that was that was enacted in Bihar. “Whenever any law is enacted by any government but its implementation at the field level is an issue.
The government is the one who makes laws, but people, in a bid to make money in an extremely short amount of time, break the laws. The government is trying to ensure that its law against liquor is work in practice, but certain people in the system don’t wish for it to be successful,” he said.
“We have many laws that were enacted in the past, but people continued to break them.Laws against arms, dowry, and child labour are in force in the country.
The law banning liquor is an act in Bihar that became effective in April 2016 and is frequently abused by the public.Maintaining arms and ammunition is a crime, nevertheless, people were able to set up manufacturing facilities that were illegal,” Chaudhary added.

“The illegal smuggling of liquor from states other than Bihar is common in Bihar and it is not a major problem, but the production of liquor in Bihar is dangerous for health.
The operators mix many chemicals and substances during the production of country-made liquor and then illegally sell it for sale.People are dying due to of it.The state government must take action against the operators and producers of local-made liquors,” he said.
