However, an BJP leader has said that the issue was exaggerated out of proportion, since only a few of employees of the party were against the summit between the Chief Minister and the Prime Minister.

“In an federation-based structure it is not a problem if the Chief Minister is able to meet the Prime Minister.

But, aside from meeting with the Prime Minister, she (Banerjee) must also implement the welfare schemes of the Centre in West Bengal,” the BJP leader stated.

Another leader said that instead of talking about the people who are opposed to the meeting one should look at how the BJP is putting pressure on the West Bengal government over the recruitment fraud.

The Saffron Party has also accused its rivals of giving the impression that West Bengal BJP leaders were against the gathering.

Former Bengal BJP President Rahul Sinha claimed to IANS that a fake campaign was being conducted by Communist leadership and other people against the saffron party the Prime Minister Modi meeting with Banerjee.

“It is the work of the Communists who are the masters of fake propaganda and fake news. They are unemployed, and try to make it appear that there are divisions between the Bengal BJP over the Prime Minister’s meeting with Chief Minister Banerjee.

“There there isn’t any difference in the meeting.Banerjee must meet regularly with the Prime Minister to learn from his dedication and determination to serve the people.

By squaring off against the Prime Minister for so many years, she has stalled the development process in West Bengal,” Sinha stated.
