BJP state president, MP Bandi Sanjay has appealed to the Lok Sabha Privilege Committee that Karimnagar police commissioner Satyanarayana and some other police officers attacked and illegally arrested him.CP was asked to take action against the police responsible.Bandi Sanjay appeared before the Lok Sabha Privilege Committee in Delhi on Friday.He had taken the initiative to amend G.O.317 brought by the Telangana government at his office in Karimnagar on the 2nd of this month but complained that he was illegally attacked and arrested some police officers.
The committee also brought to the notice of the High Court that the conduct of the police and the arrest were also erroneous.Karimnagar CP Satyanarayana explained that this was the second time he had been attacked by other policemen.
Sanjay told the Privilege Committee that during the RTC strike in October 2019, RTC worker Nagnoor Babu was on his way to the funeral when he was stopped by the police and brutally assaulted.
In the latest incident, CP Satyanarayana, Huzurabad ACP Kotla Venkat Reddy, Jammikunta Inspector Kommineni Ramchandra Rao, Huzuraba Inspector V Srinivas, Karimnagar CCS ACP K Srinivas, Karimnagar Two Town Inspector Challamalla Naresh and other personnel who carried out the attack were identified.
Video clippings were submitted to the committee along with news from various magazines regarding the events of the day.
