Nath claimed that OBC members were planning to protest Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at his residence on January 2.However, the BJP government threatened them with notices.

Notices have been served on OBC people who claimed they were being intimidated. They’re being forced to wait in police stations.Nath was curious to know why the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government is so scared of the OBC community.

He also stated that neither the BJP government has done anything nor are they willing to listen.

OBC Mahasabha decided to hold a demonstration on Sunday against the exclusion of them from panchayat elections and other community issues. The protest may not take place, however.

Friday, December 31, was the date when Madhya Pradesh Panchayati Raj (II) and Gram Swaraj Amendment Ordinances (II) were issued by the state government. This annulled Kamal Nath’s 2019 ordinance.

This move was made just days after the Shirraj government pulled its panchayat election ordinance.

According to the new ordinance, notification of elections must be issued by the State Election Commission for all reasons within an 18-month period from publication of delimitation and division of panchayats.

This case will result in a new delimitation of panchayats, their constituencies and wards. In September 2019, delimitation proceedings took place for the election panchayats in 2020.This ordinance has since cancelled them. The process of division and delimitation of panchayats, their wards, and constituencies, will now be repeated, and the current election process will conclude.
