Los Angeles, January 1, : .Billy Joel, a renowned ‘Piano Man,’ has compared Taylor Swift with The Beatles and claimed that the ‘Shake It Off” singer is the next generation’s version. When asked about his opinions on the current artists, he said to USA Today that Adele was a fantastic singer and a throwback to (Barbara Streisand).Taylor Swift is also very talented and has great ideas and music.
He said, “You must give her high marks.She is a musician and a writer.
She is like the Beatles of that generation.
The 73-year old musician stated that he does not listen to pop music anymore, but his children keep him informed and love to hear contemporary artists reference the “Piano Man” legend.
He said, “My children listen to pop music.I don’t really.I will be with them in the car when they turn on (the radio), and maybe I hear a mention of me.” Della returned from school and told him, “Daddy, everyone knows who you’re !’.”.”
Joel said that, despite knowing his identity and being a member of a younger generation, he didn’t listen to the music of “his parents” as a child.
His words were: “When I was young, my generation did not listen to the music of my parents.Their tastes were not only classical, but they also liked Sinatra and Perry Como.
They were kind of forgotten and we moved on to new music, such as the Beatles generation and Elvis Generation.
“We were not a forward-looking generation, and there are many younger people looking backwards and they like the music of their parents.This is an odd phenomenon.”
