Mumbai, 31 December : .Gender biases can be seen in both urban and rural areas.
The short film, “Love Raddi”, is about this topic and stars Harshita Gaur as well as Adeeb Rais, actor and director.Harshita, actress in ‘Sadda Haq’ will play a dentist forced to endure emotional abuse as a child.
Harshita said: Sara Malik is a young dentist who, despite being intelligent and independent, has been subject to emotional abuse from childhood. This film shows how parents can treat their sons and daughters differently even within well-off urban families.
Harshita says that the character onscreen is confident, but restricted, and cannot speak out in real life.
According to the actress, many young Indian girls will relate to her character.
Being brave and loving yourself is a sign of self-love.
Adeb, the other leading actor, said that Kabir Kohli appears to be the boy next door, but the audience will slowly realize there is a lot more pain and suffering within him.
According to him, “Kabirkohli grew up watching his mother be psychically abused and is still haunted today by that trauma.” The character is both relatable from the surface and very complex within.
Adeeb explains further why there are gender biases within the society.
The problem is in Indian parenting systems where parents have a greater than life Demi God’s status.
Both the children’s and their parents feel this pressure.Indian media has tended to portray parents as a monolithic entity.
I believe it is time that we speak out on these issues.
