Live updates were posted on his Instagram account from the lift.Marnus Labuschagne, Smith’s colleague tried to get the lift door open but it was impossible.
Smith explained that “I’m still on my floor and I am staying here, but the doors will not open.” Smith explained that the doors were out of service.”I tried getting the door to open.I have this side of the door, Marnus Labuschagne is trying to open the other.Let’s just say that it wasn’t the night I planned.
Smith updated fans with another statement: “I left waiting for more formal help than Labuschagne could offer,” Smith said.Smith said, “Well, I’m just taking a place.How do you get out of a lift? It would be nice to stay here for quite a while.Any suggestions? He added.
Labuschagne later managed to unlock the lift door and sneak inside, giving Smith a bag full of M&Ms.
Smith was finally freed after a while when a man appeared.
