He is the third fastest Indian pacer to achieve this milestone, having achieved it in his 55th match.Shami also took Rabada’s fifth wicket of the innings.
This makes him the eleventh Indian fast bowler with 200+ wickets.Shami currently trails Kapil Dev (434) and Ishant Sharma (311), Zaheer Kan (311), Javagal Srinath (336) at this moment.
Shami, who is known for his exceptional bowling skills, celebrated this milestone with his sixth five-wicket win in Tests.Shami completed the South Africa top order, taking the wickets Keegan Petersen (and Aiden Markram) before returning to take a set Temba Bavuma.
As South Africa was bowled out by India for 197 runs, Shami led the bowling attack.India trailed India by 130 runs in the first innings.
