O.Panneerselvam requests an inquiry into AICTE’s fraudulent recruitment of job candidates

Chennai : , Dec 27, 2012 – O.Paneerselvam, former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and leader of AIADMK (OPS), has requested a thorough inquiry into 18 people recruited to the All India Council for Technical Education Southern Region.
The leader of the AIADMK stated that AICTE had claimed that only 13 jobs were available and that fraudsters were stealing job applicants with fake claims.The leader of AIADMK called for a thorough investigation by police to investigate the matter.

He also asked that job applicants not be duped.

Senior leader demanded that the government investigate the claim made by AICTE officials about the theft of bank details belonging to job applicants.

The government was also requested for immediate intervention.

Paneerselvam urged the Tamil Nadu government not to allow such fraudsters to deceive people.

A gang of fraudsters interviewed young people from Tamil Nadu’s rural areas for several positions.

They claimed that they were for AICTE Southern Region.They had told the youth there was a position for a state coordinator or head inspector officer, but this post never existed.

According to job applicants, the gang members had conducted written exams and only candidates who scored at least 50 percent were called for interviews.

Candidates were asked to bring clean, neatly groomed hands and a separate dressing code.

The scheme was discovered by some applicants who called the AICTE regional office.They informed them that no such positions were available and that they had never conducted interviews or tests.
