Hyderabad, December 27, : , The Telangana High Court reserved Monday its order on a petition for cancellation of bail granted to Chief Minister Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy from Andhra Pradesh and to MP V.Vijaya Sai Reddy as part of the quid pro quo.A petition was being heard by MP K.Raghu Ramakrishna Raju of rebel YSR Congress Party, (YSRCP), challenging CBI’s dismissal of his petition to cancel Jagan Mohan Reddy’s bail.
Counsel for the MP argued Jagan Mohanreddy was in a position to influence witnesses.
The High Court inquired about the position of the Central Bureau of Investigation on this issue during the hearing.
However, the agency claimed that the CBI court’s orders have not affected the current situation. The court took no action after hearing both sides’ arguments.
The petitions filed by Raju for cancellation of Jagan’s bail and Vijaya Sai, his close aide, were dismissed in September by the CBI court. This was due to alleged violations of bail conditions.
Raju, who is a Lok Sabha member from Narsapur had expressed concern that Jagan Mohan Reddy might try to influence witnesses.
Vijaya Sai Reddy and Jagan Mohan Reddy both submitted to court they had not broken any bail conditions.
Both claimed Raju had filed petitions to obtain political and personal benefits.
Jagan Mohanreddy counter-affidavit stated that Raju was trying to use court to settle his personal debts.
Jagan Mohan Reddy described Raju as dishonest and deceitful.
Jagan claimed Raju had failed to file a petition to cancel bail and described Raju’s petition to doom his reputation.
