Telangana Congress chief holds protest at CM’s farmhouse

Hyderabad, December 27, : , Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief A.Revanth Reddy was taken into custody here Monday while he left for Erravalli village in order to protest the Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao’s farmhouse.
As scores of Revanth Reddy’s supporters attempted to resist his arrest, high tension reigned at Jubilee Hills.

The police stopped the chief of the TPCC immediately he emerged from his home.He was taken to a vehicle by police officers, prompting strong protests from Congress members who were present.

Their leader was being transported by a police car.They pushed and jostled between them.

Police moved Revanth Reddy from the chaos to a station.

Revanth Reddy was also taken into house arrest as he is a member of parliament.

Revanth Reddy called for Rachabanda to be organized.He said that he was calling on police to guard his house because of what he believes is the inability of central and state governments to procure paddy from farmers.

Many Congressmen were placed under house arrest, or detained as they traveled from different parts of the state to Erravalli district in Siddipet.

Revanth Reddy had earlier pledged to continue with protest, despite the restrictions of the police.

Is Erravalli considered a restricted area? We are being stopped from visiting that village.The Congress leader said that he was curious.The Congress leader asked.

In a rant about paddy procurement, the chief of TPCC blasted both TRS and BJP.He claimed that both parties had a secret agreement to deceive the farmers.

According to him, the visits of a delegation state ministers in Delhi and Bandi Sanjay the BJP president’s hunger strike against unemployment was part of the secret agreement between the parties.

Revanth Reddy released photos of paddy being grown at his farmhouse on Sunday.The Congress leader stated that while the chief minister claims the government won’t procure paddy from farmers, he had taken up paddy cultivation on 150 acres of his farm.

Mallu Ravi, a senior Congress leader clarified that the group was not heading to Erravalli in order to seize control of Erravalli’s farmhouse.However they were stopped.

The party was organizing a state-wide program, he said.

He condemned the arrests and accusations of Congress leaders.
