Kolkata 26 December : .Police said that an activist from West Bengal’s Trinamool Congress, who had been having an affair with his spouse, killed his father Sunday afternoon and injures his brother.Trinamool employee Sushanta barman was arrested.
Police say that a furious Barman went into the home of Pradip Chandra, the BJP state SC Morcha Chief House, and hit Prabhat Chandra Adhikari’s elder brother with a chopper.
Barman then attacked Binod Chandra Adhikari’s father on the neck and head as he ran.
Senior Adhikari was taken to the Dinhata Sub-divisional Hospital, where he was declared deceased.
Prabhat Chandra Adhikari acknowledged that his brother was in an extra-marital affair with Barman’s spouse and Barman had filed a complaint against Sahibganj before.According to Adhikari, there wasn’t any provocation that could have led to such an attack.
He was also taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Girindranath, the President of Trinamool District, stated that this was a purely apolitical matter and had nothing to do with our party.
The law will decide if he is guilty of any crime.
Barman was arrested by police and is being investigated.
We have taken him into custody and sent the body for post mortem.An investigation officer stated that once the report is received, the cause of death will be known.
