Mumbai, December 25, : The Congress appointed Rajesh Lilothia, who was previously the Chairman of the AICC Scheduled Caste (SC) Department, on Saturday.According to K.C., AICC General Secretary K.C.Venugopal.
K.Raju was also named Coordinator by the Congress to supervise the activities of AICC SC/OBC/Minority department and All India Adivasi Congress.This appointment took effect immediately.
Raut was not removed from his powerful position by the AICC.
Raut, however, sought to dispel speculation about the reshuffle by claiming that it was planned six months prior.
Raut stated in this statement that “The party president took this decision today.”
Because I am a Minister in Maharashtra, it was impossible for me to travel the country to give justice to my post.Raut said that he requested party president for me to be released from my post as president of SC department of AICC.
The minister also pointed out that one person is allowed to hold every post in the party’s policy.
