Mumbai, December 25, 2008 : .Ritwik Bhomik is now in a new avatar for his project “The Whistleblower” following his success with his web series “Bandish Bandits”.Ritwik, who was popular for his adorable portrayal of a classical singing singer gained fame with the ‘Bandish Bandits.According to Ritwik, playing these roles at the beginning of his career allows him to showcase his flexibility.
Ritwik said to IANS, “It was difficult for me to play Dr Sanket Bhadoria’s character.She is so very different from my real self.” When I played Radhe Rahod in the previous show, ‘Bandish Bandits”, I wasn’t a professional classical singer.As part of my preparation, I learned a lot about body language and nuanced gestures.
Here, the challenge and excitement for me as an actor was that Dr Sanket was not someone I fell in love with.His musical career was full of joy, emotion, and music.
The world of “The Whistleblower” is live, gripping, and dark.Before I could play Dr Sanket, I needed to speak to my subconscious to understand why he was the way that he is.It was both challenging and thrilling to play such a poles apart character in the early stages of my career.
This show is about a pre-medical exam scam and the whole system behind the proxy and paper leaks.
These are the secrets to many students’ futures.Ritwik is confident that the story will have an impact on young minds because it’s based upon the 2013 PMT scam.
I think that if youth in the country stand up and challenge the system, then we, the Whistleblower team, would be happy.Our job is complete.
Ritwik stated that it is crucial to raise awareness among youth about all things because, at the end, we (and I) are the future.
The cast includes veteran actors such as Sachin Khedekar and Sonali Kulkarni.
Ritwik says that each show is an acting class, and he’s learning life lessons.
He also starred in his previous show alongside veteran actors like Atul Kulkarni and Rajesh Tailang.
It is because I work with experienced actors that I have learned so much.It was both fascinating and a wonder to me how these actors still approach their characters as if they were newcomers after all this time.
How is that possible? You can feel validated and confident when they are successful.
