Pune, December 14, 2018 : .Hockey Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh Hockey and Kerala Hockey were the top four winners of Day Four of the 11th Hockey India Senior Men National Championship Pimpri Chinchwad 2021 at Pune.The Hockey Association of Odisha & Hockey Bengal played out an entertaining 3-to-1 draw in the Pool F opener.The topsy-turvy match saw Odisha strike first with Abhijeet Swin (12′), Sibren Kra (15′), Rahul Ekka (28) scoring to make it a comfortable win going into the second half.
It seemed that the outcome was certain at this point.Two minutes into the third period, Raushan Kumar scored to give Hockey Bengal some hope.
A brace from Nitish Neupane (46) and 53 (53) saw them complete a great turnaround, splitting the points.Both teams remain tied for first place in the table.
Hockey Gujarat defeated Goans Hockey in the first game of Pool F 4-3.Hockey Gujarat’s goals were scored by Poonam Thkor (6′), Ajaykumar T Thakor (18′), Dharmesh mir (24′) and Divyesh Miyatra (45:00).Goal scorers for Goans Hockey were Dattesh Prariolkar (17′), Issub Yayed (41’), and Abbusaliya Halvadar (54’).
Uttar Pradesh Hockey defeated Hockey Jharkhand by 3-0 in Pool A.A brace from Ajay Yadav (15’, 56’) and Faraz Mohd’s goal (4′) secured Uttar Pradesh Hockey victory.They maintained their unbeaten start at the top.
In a tight Pool G match, Kerala Hockey defeated Assam Hockey by 2-1.As the teams entered the half-time break, Kerala Hockey held a commanding lead thanks to goals by Athul Shahu (22′) & Muhammed Siyas Kha (28′).Prashant Kabeer Sen’s 43rd minute strike provided Assam with a breathing space and allowed them to set up the final quarter.Kerala Hockey won the three remaining points.
In their Pool A match, the Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu defeated Telangana Hockey by 7 to 0.S Karthi (13′, 26’, 57’), Sundarapandi (22′), Pruthvi General Manager (32′), Mareeswaran Sakthivel (37) and S Silver Stalin (44) were the goals for Tamil Nadu’s Hockey Unit.
In Pool H, Hockey Bihar beat Hockey Mizoram 6-1.Hockey Bihar won comfortably thanks to Subash Sanga’s hat trick (34′ 37′ and 57′), as well as goals from Mukesh Lakra (4’), Sujit Roshan Tgga (40’) and Samuel Topno (54-54).Lamremdika scored Hockey Mizoram’s goal in the 60th minute.
Hockey Maharashtra defeated Chhattisgarh Hockey 9-2, in Pool H.Kartik Yadav (16′) and Junaid Ahmed (35) scored goals for Chhattisgarh Hockey.
