By Mohammed Shafeeq Hyderabad, Dec 5, : The health of the heart is in everyone’s hands. If people eat well, exercise regularly, and avoid smoking, they can prevent many heart diseases.Mohanan.
CSI released a video featuring Kapil Dev, India’s former cricket captain, and a book on common issues in cardiology written in Hyderabad as part of its efforts at raising public awareness about cardiovascular disease prevention.
The CSI has brought in a celebrity to create a video that aims to show the importance of avoiding heart attacks in children for the first time.
“I hope it will be distributed in different forums so that people realize the importance of taking care of their heart health.
The renowned cardiologist said that if people adopt a healthy lifestyle, eat well, exercise regularly, and quit smoking, they can prevent many heart diseases.
He called the book “A to Z of cardiology.”
“It is all about the normal heart, heart disease, how to prevent them, and if you are developing them, how to treat them.Although the book is in English, I hope it will be translated into every language.
The CSI has a two-pronged strategy: public information and education of cardiologists. He stated that public awareness is a key focus of CSI and said they are committed to improving it.
The CSI has 5,000 members in the country and works towards the prevention and elimination of cardiovascular disease (CVD).It also works to raise awareness about healthy diets and cardiovascular diseases.
It is working to raise awareness about the relationship between cardiovascular diseases and environment and lifestyle.
Dr.P.S., the president elect of CSI, has been elected.Banerjee explained to IANS that awareness and prevention go hand in hand.
The government will be approached by the cardiologists to reach out to remote areas.
“We will write the government.
He said that if the government asks for our assistance, we can send our representatives to organize small meetings in local languages about how to prevent heart attack and other heart diseases.
The four-day conclave of cardiologists ended Sunday.
It covered topics like interventional cardiology (preventive cardiology), imaging cardiology, artificial intelligence and digital technology in the practice of cardiology.
Dr Banerjee was the scientific chairperson for CSI2021.
He pointed out that cardiovascular medicine was covered in detail.Speakers chosen for sessions were well-respected in their sub-specialties, such as heart failure, preventive cardiology hypertension, and diabetes.
For views exchange, there were also sessions with the American College of Cardiology and European Society of Cardiology, European Society of Heart Failure, European Society of Cardiology, European Society of Cardiology, European Society of Heart Failure, European Heart Journal.
After a gap of two year, the cardiologists met.Dr Mohanon described it was a wonderful meeting where innovation was thrust.”Cardiology, one field in which we embrace any innovations that are happening for patients’ benefit,” stated the CSI president.
“We have been trying reach out to healthcare professionals cardiologists, doctors, to teach them newer innovations and guidelines for medical treatment, and how to best utilise them for better health care.”
Dr Mohanan stated that CSI has been trying to incorporate new innovations.”This time, we have given more weight to digitization. We have learned a lot from Covid.
We learned a lot and also unlearned a lot.He said that we are constantly learning new things and how to incorporate all the knowledge from around the world to improve cardiac care.”
Recognizing the importance of the government in public education and awareness, the cardiologists’ body is trying to influence policymakers in the United States like its counterparts in the United States.
“We must influence policy makers, just as we did for the smoking ban.We must advise them about the importance and benefits of healthy eating habits and physical activity. The policy makers have a lot to do.We will try to influence their decisions like other associations. The American Heart Association has a large influence on their government.
The CSI president stated that they will attempt to replicate that model and present a solid plan on how to live a healthy lifestyle to prevent heart disease.
Dr Banerjee stated that they need government assistance because reaching large populations, especially rural ones, is a difficult task.”We need government assistance because society alone cannot do it.He said that this requires a lot money.
He suggested that small groups of young doctors be formed to go to remote areas to conduct seminars with the support of local authorities. They will demonstrate aspects such as CPR, lifestyle modification and the benefits of good diet, avoiding smoking, alcohol, and CPR.
