PTM organised a large gathering in Quetta on Sunday to press for the release of Ali Wazir (Member of Parliament from South Waziristan) who has been held for 11 months on false charges and other detainees.

PTM is the voice for all residents in the periphery.It is a voice against colonialism.It calls for peace in metropolitan Pakistan.PTM stated that it demands the end to enforced disappearances and draconian laws.

The PTM Jalsa in Quetta was established to end the criminalization of protests, unneeded checkpoints, intimidation & closure Chaman crossing, release all missing persons, and end emergency rule.

PTM demanded that Mohib Wazir & Said Rasul be released from deceitful charges.

Said Rasul and Mohib Wazir protested the brutal oppression and unnecessary checkpoints at Angoor Adda South Waziristan.Angoor adda can be found near Durand line.

It claimed that PTM workers were raided by police in Quetta.PTM is calling for the release Ali Wazir and Hanif Pashteen, Owais Abdulal, and Idress Khattak.

PTM will also speak out for the University of Balochistan’s two missing students.

PTM is also protesting the controversial Balochistan government’s yesterday passed “Criminal law Ordinance”, which criminalizes protests.

PTM will demand the revocation of this controversial ordinance.

Mohsin Dwar, Waziristan Member National Assembly, said in a tweet that he had submitted an adjournment motion to the National Assembly to address the very concerning issue of the forced disappearance of Haseeb Baloch (University of Balochistan) and Sahel Baloch.

The Baloch continue to disappear and the Parliament should take notice.

Dawar claimed that the Prosecutor general Sindh wants to adjourn the hearing, which will further delay the Ali Wazir case proceedings.”It is shameful that the rule of law has been so subverted.Dawar stated that Ali is still in prison for false charges.

Governor Balochistan Syed Zahoor Agha promulgated the Criminal Law Balochistan Amendment Ordinance, which imposes a maximum six-month sentence on anyone who holds a rally or staged a sit-in in the province’s roads.Samaa TV reported.

This ordinance follows recent protests in the province.It added that a sit-in was held in Gwadar last week to protest the lack of potable water for the residents.

Balochistan University students staged sit-ins at Quetta earlier in November to protest the alleged abductions of two of their classmates.

Officials from the government say that the new ordinance will be in effect immediately throughout the province.

It prohibits sit-ins, processions, and rallies on streets or roads.

Officials say that violators of the ordinance could face up to three to six months imprisonment, as well as a fine of up Rs 10,000.

The ordinance also states that anyone participating in sit-ins or rallies can be arrested without a warrant.

Sessions courts and first-class magistrates can impose imprisonment or fines.
