Advocate Ashwini Upadhyay asked for directions from the state and central governments to detain, arrest, and expel all illegal immigrants, infiltrators and Rohingyas within a year.

According to the Kerala government, “no case under Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act 1956 was filed against illegal Bangladeshi immigrants or Rohingyas living in Kerala.”

According to the government, there was no threat from Kerala.

But that state is home to a wide range of coastlines. The government stated that strict instructions were given to the field officers to keep an eye on illegal immigration through the sea route.

This was done with the cooperation of the coastal police.

According to the state government, 70 Bangladeshi nationals were arrested and 57 of them were sent back to Bangladesh.

The remaining thirteen are currently undergoing legal proceedings. The government also stated that, in accordance with the Ministry of Home Affairs directives, a committee was established by the government to identify foreigners illegally staying in India.

The Karnataka government submitted a revised version of its affidavit to the Supreme Court on October 30.This retracted an earlier affidavit that stated there was no plan immediately to deport Rohingyas from Bengaluru.

The home department stated in the affidavit that the Karnataka State Police had not placed Rohingyas at any camps or detention centres within their jurisdiction.

However, the Karnataka State has identified 126 Rohingyas.

The Rohingya list was annexed by the state government.

Further, the state government stated that “this respondent must agree that any order passed by this Court will be strictly adhered to and followed in letter and spirit.”

The state government claimed earlier that Upadhyay’s petition was without merit, not legal and factual, and demanded its removal.

The state government stated in a previous letter that it had not received any response. It said “The Bengaluru police has not placed Rohingyas at camps or detention centers within its jurisdiction.” While 72 Rohingyas have been identified as working in different fields in Bengaluru, the Bengaluru police has not yet taken coercive actions against them.
