Prayagraj, UP, Nov 21 : .Two months after Akhil Bhartiya Akhara Parishad chief, Mahant Naendra Giri was discovered dead in mysterious circumstances, three individuals were charged by the Central Investigative Agency, CBI, with alleged suicide abetment charges.CBI stated that there was sufficient evidence to convict the three of them of complicity in the crime of aiding suicide and criminal conspiracy related to the suicide of Mahant.He was allegedly hanged in Prayagraj’s Ashram in September.
In the Saturday chargesheet, Sandeep Tiwari and Adya Prasad Twari were named as well.
They were all named by Mahant in his suicide note, which accused them of harassing Mahant mentally.
Harendra Nath, Chief Judicial Magistrates, took note of the charges and stated that there is sufficient evidence to take cognizance.
