New Delhi, Nov 18, 2018 : .The Congress attacked the government again Thursday over a border dispute with China.It claimed that China had established three villages close to Doklam, and the Modi Government committed an unpardonable and brazen compromise in ‘National Security.’ India’s “Territorial Integrity” is now exposed.Prime Minister was also asked about his silence.Gaurav Vallabh, Congress spokesperson, stated that Prime Minister and Defence Minister had undermined the remarkable valour of our Armed Forces who were confronted with Chinese aggressions and incursions with unflinching courage and sacrifice.
He said, “We ask the Prime Minister to not hide behind smokescreens and to answer to the people.”
Vallabh stated that satellite imagery of Chinese military developments, which show the construction of Chinese villages on Bhutanese soil over the past year, shows multiple villages being spread across an area approximately 100 km2 (25,000 acres).These villages were built between May 2020 – November 2021.
The new villages are located near Doklam plateau, where India and China met in 2017.
China then bypassed Indian defenses to resume construction in the area.
New construction on Bhutanese soil was deemed particularly alarming by the Congress.
India has traditionally advised Bhutan about its foreign relations and continued to train its military forces.
He stated that Modi’s government had made an unpardonable concession to our national security in the Kailash Ranges.
Modi also pulled out of Finger 4 on the Northern Bank at Pangong Tso Lake Area.
Vallabh also stated, “Why did China occupy India’s territory within the LAC until Y-Junction on Depsang Plains?” What was the reason China occupied India’s territory within the LAC, including Gogra & Hot Springs.What is the story behind China’s entry into Arunachal Pradesh? They built a village that was dual-purpose.It is not only a residence village but also serves as a military cantonment.
According to him, the Eastern Army Command’s Chief General of Operations (GOC) stated that China was building infrastructure in Chumbi Valley and is actively engaging in road and highway construction.Chumbi Valley directly impacts and threatens Siliguri Corridor, also known as the Chicken’s Neck, that connects 7 of our northeastern States with India.
This corridor is crucial for the Siliguri corridor’s strategic importance.
According to the Congress, 100 kilometres of illegal land grabs and incursions by China and 4 villages being built in Bhutan by China are a threat to national security.
