Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has announced that the TRS will hold a protest in Hyderabad on November 18 to seek clarification from the central government on rice cultivation in the state.The protest will be held at Indira Park from 11 am to 2 pm on November 18.
After the protest, they will go to the Raj Bhavan and submit a petition to the Governor on their demands.The TRS delegation said that after submitting the petition they would wait for two days, and the union govt should make a clear statement on what crop the farmers of Telangana should cultivate.
They made it clear that they would announce their stance after the protest depending on the response of the central government.
Telangana Chief Minister KCR spoke to the media after the end of the TRSLP meeting at Telangana Bhavan.
He also slammed the dual stance taken by the central government on paddy purchase.
Speaking on this occasion, CM KCR recalled, “In the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, our Members of Parliament have spoken out against the agricultural laws brought by the Central Government.Agriculture Minister Niranjan Reddy has repeatedly opposed the new agriculture laws.”
