New Delhi, November 16 : .Rakesh Asthana, Delhi Police Commissioner, has resigned from his post as the legal advisor Suresh Chaudra, according to official sources. “Suresh Chandra has tendered his resignation from the post of consultant to work as legal advisor to CP, Delhi on health grounds,” an official order read.An official notice stated that Suresh Chandra had resigned from his post as consultant and has accepted the role of legal advisor at CP Delhi due to health reasons.
The order further stated that Chandra is “hereby directed to deposit all government articles, if any, issued on official capacity.”.Further, the order stated Chandra was “hereby directed” to deposit any government articles issued in official capacity.
Chandra was appointed as the legal advisor to the Delhi Police chief six months ago.Six months ago, Chandra was named the Delhi Police Chief’s legal advisor.Sources said that he was under a contract for six months and his tenure was about to get over in sometime.
According to sources, he had been under contract for six month and was due to end his term soon.
According to the official order, Chandra’s resignation has been accepted by Commissioner Asthana.
