Chennai, Nov 15, : .The dispute between the Pattali Makkal Katchi, led by former Union minister Anbumani Ramadoss and actor Suriya over the Tamil film ‘Jai Bhim,’ which allegedly insulted the Vanniyar community, escalated Sunday when a group PMK cadres forced Mayiladuthurai district’s theatre to stop showing a Suriya movie.Sources said that a group of PMK cadres raised slogans outside the Peerless theatre on Park Avenue Road that was screening ‘Vel’, a Suriya film.Sources claim that some PMK cadres protested outside the Peerless theatre at Park Avenue Road, which was showing ‘Vel’, an Indian film.
The theatre management pulled out the film that was being screened.The film was retracted by the theatre management.
