AP High court issues interim orders in Brahmamgari Matam issue

The Andhra Pradesh High Court has quashed the orders issued by the AP state government in the Brahmangari Matam issue.The High Court said that the signature of TTD EO, a member of the Dharmika Parishad Executive Committee, was not in the resolution passed by the state government.

According to the Dharmika Parishad resolution, the AP government has appointed an Assistant Commissioner of the Endowments department to look after the Brahmamgari Matam.However, TTD EO is a member of the Dharmika Parishad Executive Committee and the resolution should contain his signature too.

Against this backdrop, the High Court said that the resolution sent by the Dharmika Parishad was not signed by EO and the High Court ruled that the government’s orders were invalid.

The High Court held that the decision of the Dharmika Parishad was not in accordance with the rules.

The High Court reminded the Dharmika Parishad that it has the power to make temporary arrangements when the pontiff seat falls vacant.Venkatadri was appointed by consensus among the family members as the successor to the Brahmamgari Matam.

The AP High Court recently dismissed the orders issued by the AP government in the appointment of the successor.
