CM Jagan orders officials to improve infra in AP govt hospitals

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has directed the officials to focus mainly on the maintenance of government hospital buildings and medical equipment.He ordered the concerned authorities to appoint a special officer for this purpose and to prepare SVOP (Standard Operating Procedure).

Speaking on this occasion, Jagan clarified that the officials should pay attention to the infrastructure, sanitation and food provided to the patients in the hospitals and these should be constantly monitored.Also, Jagan said that there should be a strengthened mechanism for monitoring the attendance of doctors, nurses and other staff in the hospitals.

Jagan clarified that government and the ESI hospitals should have GMP and WHO standard medicines.Officers were ordered to pay Arogyasree, 104, and 108 bills exactly within 21 days.

He said that the ‘Nadu-Nedu’ program in hospitals should be implemented full-fledged.He ordered officials to give more priority to hospital management and providing quality services to the patients.

It is suggested that necessary steps be taken for this.

The Chief Minister said that with 16 new medical colleges coming up in the state, the health sector would be further strengthened.

Also, he said that the government is modernizing 11 old medical colleges and establishing health hubs.
