Police who save people’s lives are also plagued by the epidemic.Rachakonda CP Mahesh Bhagwat recently announced that, so far, 225 policemen under the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate have been tested corona positive.
Mahesh Bhagwat said that 95 percent of the staff under the Commissionerate had already been vaccinated.CP said arrangements were being made to vaccinate the rest of the policemen as well.
Mahesh Bhagwat said that he and other officials were talking to the policemen who tested positive on Zoom from time to time to boost self-confidence in them.
CP said only four of those who were tested positive for coronavirus were being treated at the hospitals.Mahesh Bhagwat revealed that they are providing Medical kits, dried fruits kits along financial assistance of Rs.5,000 to the policemen who tested corona positive.
On the other hand, he said that strict action is being taken against those who do not abide by the curfew rules under the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate.CP said check posts have been set up in 43 areas under the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate.
