Finally, the suspense over the candidate contesting for the Tirupathi by-polls has been ended.As BJP and Janasena have an alliance, they finalized BJP candidate to contest for Tirupati parliamentary seat from the Chittoor district for the upcoming by-polls.
BJP state president Somu Veerraju, BJP state affairs in-charge, Sunil Deodhar had an hour-long meeting with Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan and Janasena PAC chairman Nadendla Manohar and announced that the BJP candidate will be contesting in the Tirupati by-election.
Shortly after the meeting ended, taking to the Twitter platform, BJP tweeted, “During today’s meeting between BJP state president Somu Veerraju and Janasena party president Pawan Kalyan, they finalized that a BJP candidate will contest as a joint candidate for the Tirupati parliamentary by-election.
The BJP CEC will announce the details of the candidate soon.”
Both the parties have agreed to field a BJP candidate in the fray.
Previously, it was speculated that the Janasena candidate will contest in the Tirupati parliamentary by-polls as Janasena secured a large number of seats in the Panchayat polls than BJP.On contrary, BJP has decided to field their candidate in the Tirupati fray.They tweeted that the BJP candidate will contest with the support of Janasena.
