The private and corporate school owners in Andhra Pradesh are reluctant to renew their school bus fitness certificates (FCs).According to police reports, about 75% of school buses in the state do not have fitness certificates.
Schools in Andhra Pradesh were recently reopened after nearly a year in the wake of the Covid pandemic.
The central government has eased the renewal process of school buses’ fitness certificates following the imposition of a lockdown last year to curb the spread of the corona.The renewal deadline ends on October 31.But still, most of the owners are not interested in the renewal of the fitness certificates of the buses.
It seems like the school owners are in a dilemma whether there is a possibility for the third wave or not.Depending on this, they are likely to renew their buses fitness certificates.
There are a total of 25,236 school buses in the state.Of these, only 6,444 buses had their fitness certificates renewed as of September 30.18,792 buses have not yet had their fitness certificates renewed.
On the other hand, medical health experts are issuing warnings of the possibility of the third wave.
