VHP leader Ashok Singhal passes away

Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) senior leader Ashok Singhal, who was undergoing treatment in a Gurgaon hospital died on Tuesday and the news was confirmed by Praveen Togadia.Singhal died at 2.

24 PM at Medanta Medicity hospital in Gurgaon.He was admitted in Medanta Hospital on November 13 following a prolonged illness.

He was admitted in hospital with complaints of acute breathlessness and has been diagnosed with right lower Lobe Pneumonia.He was on a ventilator from November 14 evening.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh and other leaders of the BJP had visited him at Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon.Prime Minister Narendra took to twitter and expressed grief over death of senior leader.

Modi said that Singhaljis death was a personal loss.‘’He was an institution in himself, whose life was centred around serving the nation," the PM tweeted.

‘’Ashok Singhal ji was the force behind several noble deeds & social work, which benefitted the poor.He is an inspiration for generations.

I was always fortunate to receive Ashok jis blessings & guidance.My condolences to his family & countless supporters.’’ He added.
